Janine Davis at TEDxVT 2013: Persona – mirror, window, or wall?

Janine S. Davis

Speaker 2013; Assistant Professor, Curriculum and Instruction

Janine is an assistant professor of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Mary Washington. She teaches courses in instructional design, advanced pedagogy, and educational research and mentors preservice teachers. Her research investigates preservice teacher persona and identity as developed in various formats, including through memoir, pecha kucha presentations, action research, and social media. As a student at Virginia Tech, she majored in English and Theatre Arts and rowed on the crew team. She has an M.Ed. in English Education from Boston College and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Virginia and currently resides in Charlottesville (but she always roots for the Hokies).
