Justin Graves at TEDxVT 2012: Caring. Unexpectedly.

Justin Graves

Speaker 2012, Steering Committee 2013, 2014; Graduate Student, Educational Leadership & Policy Studies Fellow, Kairos Society International Entrepreneurial Fellowship Graduate Assistant, Student Centers and Activities

Justin Graves has a personal goal of meeting one new person everyday. And he doesn't want to just meet that person just to know them - he wants to connect with them. Through his outgoing persona and his unique motto of "life is all about what you do for other people," Justin has blazed his own trail at Virginia Tech even though he uses a wheelchair to ambulate. Not letting the affects of a rare spinal inflammation stop him, Justin graduated from Virginia Tech ('12) with a B.S. in Sociology, and will graduate again this May with a M.A. Ed. in Education, Leadership, and Policy, with a focus in higher education. Justin is a frequent motivational speaker, having traveled the country to tell his engaging, unique stories with thousands of every age. He believes in TED's mission of "Ideas Worth Spreading" because there is immense value added to each of our live's through the thoughts, experiences, and stories of others.
